- Pay on time and never 30 days late. Better yet, pay credit cards ahead of time.
- Pay over your minimum montly payment even if you can only pay $1 more than the minimum, it really helps
- Have at least 3 open trade lines with each credit buruea and at least 2 years of history
- Don’t always pay off all your credit cards. Leave a small balance to increase credit history
- Don’t exceed 30% of your credit line balance on any one line of credit
- Call your credit company and ask for an increase in your credit limits.
- Keep credit separate from other’s even your spouse
- Keep your inquiries to a minimum (No more than 4-6 per year)
- Don’t close credit accounts that have a long and good history of payment
- Monitor your credit report and scores. You are entitled to one free credit report from each of the major reporting companies.
